About Marta.

Windsurfing is more than a sport. It’s part of the family.

BORN INTO WINDSURFING

Marta Dāle is a Latvian windsurfer and iQFOiL athlete from Riga, representing Latvia on the international stage.

For Marta, windsurfing is more than a sport — it is part of her family story. Her grandfather, Māris Dāle, was one of the pioneers of windsurfing in Latvia, helping to develop the sport and its early competitive community in the country.

Her father, Ansis Dāle, continued that legacy at the highest level. A world champion in the Mistral class, he represented Latvia as an athlete at the Barcelona 1992 and Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games, and later returned to the Olympic stage as a coach in Athens in 2004.

Today, Marta represents the third generation of the Dāle family in windsurfing — building her own path in iQFOiL and competing internationally for Latvia.

BEYOND THE WATER

Based in Riga, Marta combines international competition and training with her studies at Riga French Lyceum.

Her life is shaped by the balance between school, training, travel and competition — with the ambition to keep progressing at the highest level of the sport.

THE JOURNEY AHEAD

Marta’s focus is on continuing to develop as an iQFOiL athlete, competing against the best young windsurfers internationally and taking the next steps toward elite senior competition.
